Bitvavo extends partnership with KNVB to 2026

Bitvavo robot arm

Bitvavo, the largest crypto exchange in the Netherlands and a proud partner of the KNVB, has unveiled an innovative way to connect fans with the Dutch National Soccer Team.

During EURO2024, Bitvavo will again showcase their specially developed robot arm, allowing fans to get autographs from their favorite Dutch soccer players. This high-tech arm is located in the official KNVB fan shop at Utrecht Central Station.

Innovation Brings Oranje Closer to Fans

Marcel Ribbens, Head of Brand and Communication at Bitvavo, explained that this innovative solution stems from their desire to make the partnership with the KNVB more visible. “Our company is all about crypto and new technology. That’s why we wanted to introduce something innovative, like a robot arm that signs autographs. It’s fantastic to see fans lining up to get an autograph from their favorite player,” said Ribbens. “Of course, the ultimate experience is meeting your Oranje hero in person, but the reactions to the robot arm have been overwhelmingly positive.”

How Does It Work? The robot arm is programmed with the autographs of all players in the Euro squad, allowing fans to get signatures from stars like Virgil van Dijk, Denzel Dumfries, Tijjani Reijnders, and Xavi Simons. This innovative device offers fans a unique opportunity to obtain a lasting memento from their favorite Oranje heroes.

A Unique Experience in the KNVB Fan Store

For the first time ever, the KNVB has opened an official fan store at Utrecht Central Station, where the robot arm takes center stage. This store is open daily and freely accessible to everyone. Fans can have both new and older Oranje shirts signed here.

Fan Reaction: “It’s amazing to give my old Oranje shirt a new life with Virgil van Dijk’s autograph! I was thrilled to hear that this was possible thanks to the robot arm.”

Partnership with KNVB Extended to 2026

Bitvavo has been a partner of Dutch soccer since March 2022 and has now extended the partnership with the KNVB until July 2026. Innovation and fan engagement are central to this partnership, alongside other major names like ING, Nike, KPN, Albert Heijn, and the Dutch Lottery.
